Eternal life is found only in Christ Jesus, the son of God. Now that you are born again, His eternal life is at work in you. You are now the offspring of God with the very life and nature of God, born of the incorruptible Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (KJV). This means you are joined to the Lord as one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17) and you are now a partaker of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4).
Those who do not have the son of God are spiritually dead and cannot please God. But you are born not of blood nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of God (John 1:12-13). You are created in God’s image and His likeness.
PRAYER/CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for your eternal life at work in me. With this divine life functioning in me, I am indestructible, I live in health, and I prosper even as my soul prospers in the name of the Lord Jesus.
