“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)
The things of God are spiritual and can only be spiritually discerned. The natural man is controlled, or operates by the physical senses (touch, smell, taste, feel, hear, see); in this realm, emotions are expressed at its peak. This dimension or realm is referred to as the third dimension.
God made Adam in His image to function from the spiritual dimension where God lives, while dominating the third dimension. Adam’s disobedience brought about sin and man began to be controlled by the system he was supposed to dominate. Romans 8:5 says, “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires”. Adam began to operate with his senses when he set his mind on what the flesh desired. As a result, Adam gave the devil the right to rule him and the world.
You cannot dominate a system you are a part of; you must be above a system to dominate it. The challenges and sufferings of life are in this sensory dimension. Those that function at this level want to see before they believe; this is being carnally minded. God so loved us that He sent His love son Jesus Christ to reconcile us to Himself, restoring us to sonship. God wants us to be spiritually minded to dominate and be a good steward over His creation.
PRAYER/CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you that while I was yet a sinner Christ died for me. I thank you for saving me and empowering me to be fruitful, to multiply, replenish, subdue and dominate the fishes in the sea, the birds in the air and every living thing that moves on the earth in the name of the Lord Jesus.
