FEB 28 – HOPE IN THE LORD

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”

Isaiah 40:30-31(NIV).

Hope is the ability to expect and to project into the future. Without hope, faith cannot deliver, because faith substantiates what you hoped for. Knowing that God holds your future, your hope must be built on Christ our Lord. There’s a renewal of strength for those who hope in the Lord. When you hope in the Lord, you are constantly refreshed, and rejuvenated by the Spirit of God, through the Word and praying in tongues.

“And hope maketh not ashamed” (Romans 5:5). Hope based on the Word in faith does not disappoint. Like Abraham, the Bible says, “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be” Romans 4:18 (KJV). Against hope, Abraham believed in hope knowing that no matter what happens he would see his promised son. Our Lord Jesus was also hopeful when He endured the cross, and the outcome of His hope brought salvation to the world. Learn the value of hope and be inspired by His hope, because hope is the anchor for the soul (Hebrews 6:18-19). The greatest hope for the Christian is the appearing of Christ our Lord. What are you desiring? Believe in hope and your expectations shall not be cut off. ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for your hope in me as an anchor for my soul that cannot slip nor break down; it’s eternal in the name of the Lord Jesus.

WISDOM NUGGET

“For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet” Romans 8:24 (NIV).
