“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen”
Revelation 1:6 (KJV).
The day you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, He made you a king-priest unto God, and the Lord Jesus is the king of kings and the high priest. You are God’s chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, His own purchased, special person (1 Peter 2:9). You are royal in the kingdom of God with kingdom responsibilities. Your primary responsibility is to worship God in spirit and truth, The Bible says, “From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth” John 4:23-24 (TPT). Every born-again believer is called into true worship. You worship God in Spirit by praying in tongues, and you worship God in truth using the Word of God (truth) in ascribing praise and adoration to His name. Another responsibility is making prayers and supplications for all men so that we may live a peaceful life, and for those in authority to make godly choices. (1 Timothy 2:1-3, Ephesians 6:18). We also pray that the Lord of the harvest will send more laborers into the harvest field, winning souls (Mark 16, Matthew 28).
As a king, you make decrees using God’s Word in faith, effecting changes to reign in your life, family, community, city, country, and the nations of the world, and using the Word of God and engaging angelic activities, with God confirming His Word with signs and wonders (Hebrews 1:14, Psalms 103:20). As a priest, you are the messenger of the Lord Almighty, a minister of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19), and a sharer of the Good News, reconciling men unto God and making disciples of all nations. Take action now.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a king priest, with kingdom responsibilities. I receive grace to execute my kingdom responsibilities for your glory, marvelously helped by the Holy Spirit in the name of the Lord Jesus.
WISDOM NUGGET“For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 2:7 (KJV).
