JAN 6 – THE MIRROR IMAGE OF THE FATHER

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

A mirror reflects whatever is set before it and the Word of God is likened to a mirror. The Lord Jesus mirrored the Father to us in the flesh, being the express image of the Father’s person to us. The image He reflected in this mirror is the glory of God. We are also to mirror or reflect Jesus to our world. We do this by giving attention to the Word of God, as we are taught by the Holy Spirit, and by acting on the Word. This helps you to become in sync with the Word and function like Christ to such an extent that when people see you, they see Christ.

The Lord Jesus said in John 20:21, “as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you”. God has chosen you to be the one to show forth His praises and manifest His glory on the earth. 1 Peter 2:9 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”. He sent you as a bearer of His Gospel, a minister and a witness, to bring others into the glorious life in Christ. You are to manifest the God-life to the nations.

PRAYER/CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for ordaining me as a king-priest, holy unto you, to mirror your image to my world in the name of the Lord Jesus.

WISDOM NUGGET

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:15 -18 (KJV)
